  Renewable energy

  Utilizing available space such as on the factory rooftop, Uchida has installed solar power systems to create a more environmentally friendly factory.
  Display panels inside the factory enhance staff awareness by providing real-time display of the amount of power generated and the resulting reduction in CO2 emissions.

  Supporting local community events

  To create opportunities to interact with local residents, Uchida actively supports local community events.
  The front of the Head Office Factory is part of the route for the local “Danjiri” festival parade, and on the day of the festival the factory’s front gate is opened to provide a rest area for the crowds.

  Factory tours for elementary and junior high school students

  Each year factory tours are provided for numerous groups of elementary and junior high school students.
  Many of the students who take the tours write letters expressing their impressions and appreciation. Those letters are shared among factory staff, providing an invaluable source of pride and inspiration.
